Collicello, Umbria, Italy

We heard that there were community festivals called Tavernas all summer long. So we found a schedule and visited a tiny village (not on MSFT Autoroute) called Collicello for the Taverna.

There was a big tent set up and very cheap food being served in great variety. We tried one of everything on the menu. Then went out to explore and dance.

We explored the village by night. Each alley/street revealed a new and wonderful view.

It was a spectacular view of nightfall over the Umbrian countryside.

There were spots that looked so much like a prom night photo set that I had to catch the young lovers out for their big night.

Taverna Collicello

We missed the celebration in Sismano, just five kilometers away, because we didn't fully understand what it was. When Achille explained that there were Tavernas in little villages all summer long, we made sure to catch the one in Collicello.
