Our host, Achille, took us to visit Domenico's farm. Domenico and his wife Ivana take care of the Stone House and are totally delightful!
It was the first time to get all seven of us together for a photo.
There was a little confusion about the "monkey." Turned out Domenico meant a donkey!
Domenico and Achille combine their olives to press some fine olive oil. We went into town to get a couple of 1 litre cans and Domenico filled them with this year's pressing of olive oil.
Domenico brought some of his red wine over to the Stone House for us to sample. When we visited, he gave us a bottle of the white. Turns out that it is also a combination of Domenico's and Achille's grapes.
The keyholders (caretakers) for the Stone House are Domenico and Ivana. The speak no English, but we communicate just fine with our very broken Italian. When the owner, Achille, came to visit, he took us to visit Domenico's farm. We were impressed!
