Milano, Italy

We started our stay with a little walk to see our surroundings. Gave me a great opportunity to snap pics of the Dear Wife and Darling Daughter.

We found a little cafe in a mall (Galleria) that was roofed over like a cathedral. Q&A loved the fact they were right beneath the Gucci logo!

The poor waiter who took our picture was the only one who didn't get in it! Love the fact that they all look like they were posing with us.

There was really no reason to be in Milan other than the fashion if you believed the girls. We walked up a street that was designer after designer.

DD snapped this pic of her parents by a huge fountain.

We did, of course, tour the Duomo and gasp in awe at its incredible size (second largest cathedral in the world). But it was the little dog gargoyle that we dubbed St. Val that reminded us of our puppy back home.

We satisfied every urge to have an espresso or a cappucino.

DD was wild over the Ferrari store and bought a Ferrari jacket. That qualified her for a picture in the F1 racing car in the store.

We spent an incredible amount for box seats at the Opera LaScalla. It was worth every penny as we saw Benjamin Britten's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Of course, it was also an opportunity for the girls to dress to the nines and pose like models. BTW, what gives when the daughter borrows her father's clothes to go out in? (The jacket, not the dress!)

Milano Photo Gallery

We flew from Seattle to Milan via Amsterdam on June 6-7. We had three wonderful days in Milan and this is the photo journal.
