The Stone House that brought us to Umbria

This is the view of the Stone House that was on the Internet.

The lower level of the house is what we refer to as the front, although you enter on the upper level behind. This is where the action is.

There are all kinds of little nooks and crannies on the grounds with delightful seating areas. We call this one our breakfast nook.

Need we say more? The temperature has gotten well into the 90s during the day and the pool has seen use two or three times each day. DD is trying to keep fit for skating, so is working her way up to swimming 100 laps a day (equivalent of 20 Olympic laps!).

I was out with my cup of coffee, just looking at the world from our front step. DD said I was surveying my domain. For me, I was just sinking into a vast pillowy bed of complete relaxation.

This is looking out one of our little round windows onto the breakfast nook. It's a morning ritual to head out here as soon as the coffee is ready.

Yes, I am here. I love sitting in this little hammock swing. Glass of wine, sunshine, and a nap. Can't be beat!

Saturday afternoon (the 20th) an all out thunder and lightning storm rolled in and has continued intermitently now for 24 hours. The temperature has dropped and the landscapes and cloud forms have changed dramatically.

We came back from the little store with enough food and wine to keep us happy for the night. A. was learning how to eat pasta.

Fathers Day morning, the Darling Daughter sat beside me at the big kitchen table as we both wrote. Then she kindly fixed her mom and me a delicious scrambled egg and leftover chicken skewers breakfast/lunch. Am I doing anything special for Fathers Day? How could it be more special?!
